Ok, so I am the audio producer for an internet talkshow, and The talent is not in my home studio. For a while, we used skype to send her voice to me which would go through the board and out to the broadcast. The problem as many people know with Skype is that even though the audio quality is pretty much as good as ISDN as long as the stream is stable, but the stream is not always stable. They have one hell of a server load with millions of users. So of course, it occured to me to try Ventrilo. The vocal quality is incredible. It's beautiful CD quality even better than ISDN. Just one problem, the bleeding half second delay.
So here's my question. If you don't want to invest some serious cash in a Comrex, what's the best way to have dependable, ISDN quality or better voice communication?
